Several neighbors have asked what can be done to reduce or eliminate solicitors in the neighborhood. While solicitors may visit your door, there are a few key questions you should consider asking:

 

1. Do you have a solicitor's license with the City of North Bend? If not or they are not willing to show it to you, then you can defer them to the city (which most likely they will not issue - see below).

2. They must display a visible ID. If not, you should ask to see it or simply not open the door. Safety is first. If you are at all concerned, you can dial 911.

 

Per the City of North Bend website "NBMC 5.16 requires all peddlers, solicitors and transient merchants to obtain a Solicitors License with the city."
